Fairgrounds Pickleball Club Tournament (Hamilton)

I was contacted by a member of the Fairgrounds Pickleball Club who oversees regular leagues as an extension of the Gretzky Pickleball Club Tournament.

I covered women's, mixed, and men's tournament style throughout the day, shooting from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. I shot more than 22,000 pictures, whittled them down to 15,000, edited them, and gave each participant a picture to buy.

The first tournament taught me that getting precisely styled photographs is not as crucial as focusing on framing the topic. Because of the speed of the game and the size of the court, pickleball in particular is challenging to capture.

The beautiful design, wall color, and downlighting at Fairgrounds made it a pleasure to shoot there.
